Lofty Peaks Yarn builds retail partnerships with intention. To support a healthy and sustainable marketplace, we limit the number of stockists within each region, helping maintain product originality while ensuring strong sell-through for our partners. As a growing startup, we are equally committed to supplying our retail partners consistently, while scaling production thoughtfully as demand increases—always with respect for our makers and the integrity of small-batch, handcrafted processes.

We are proudly Fair Trade certified by the Fair Trade Federation (FTF). Every skein directly supports women artisans in remote Himalayan communities through ethical wages, safe working conditions, and long-term economic opportunity.

Minimum Order

The minimum wholesale order for Lofty Peaks Yarn is $250 USD (pre-tax and shipping).

Order Processing & Availability

All orders are subject to product availability.

  • In-stock items typically ship within 5–7 business days.
  • If you require expedited processing, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate.
  • In the event of backorders or limited availability, we will notify you promptly with updated timelines.

As our yarn is naturally dyed by women artisans in remote Himalayan regions, production timelines may occasionally be impacted by local infrastructure and seasonal conditions. We appreciate your understanding and patience. 

Inventory Considerations

Due to the handmade nature of our products, some yarn styles may be available only in limited quantities. We encourage early ordering, especially ahead of seasonal demand.

Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Orders may be amended after processing but prior to shipment, subject to a $15 restocking fee.
  • Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled.
  • Please contact us as soon as possible for any changes so we can best support your request.

Shipping

  • Shipping costs and applicable taxes will be added to all wholesale orders.
  • Orders are shipped via the most cost-effective carrier.
  • If you require a specific shipping method, please indicate this at the time of order.
  • Orders are fulfilled from our U.S. distribution location.

Returns & Quality Assurance

  • If you receive a product with a verified quality issue, we will gladly offer a replacement or refund.

Please note:

Because each skein is handmade and naturally dyed, variations in color, texture, and thickness are expected. Dye lot variations between batches are also inherent to the natural hand-dyeing process and are considered acceptable. These are not defects but part of the unique character of artisanal yarn.

To support transparency and artisan recognition, we request that all retailers:

  • Share the story of the artisans and the Fair Trade impact with customers
